Starting a microschool can feel overwhelming when you're trying to figure out everything at once. You don't need to have all the answers today. You just need a clear path forward.

Hey Teacher Friend, I’m Desirée!

I didn’t want to stop teaching. I just wanted to teach differently. After 12 years of teaching in traditional public and private schools, I knew I still loved teaching. I just wanted the freedom to do it my way. So I took the leap and built Kingdom Seed Christian Academy, my own microschool and homeschool hybrid, from the ground up.

I had to figure out the same things you may be wondering right now. Where do I start? How do I find families? What should I charge? Where will my school meet? How do I market without feeling salesy? And how do I turn this big dream into a real, sustainable program?

And the best part? I’m still right here in it. I’m running my microschool, teaching students, supporting families, leading my team, and learning and growing along the way.

Now I get to take everything I’ve learned from building Kingdom Seed Christian Academy and help other teachers turn their own microschool dreams into reality too.

Because more teachers need to know this is possible.

Here's my journey as a microschool founder:
